Coco Gauff wished Jesus Christ, capping off her Christmas celebrations with her family in a recent social media update. Following this, the American will look to kickstart her 2025 season and look to clinch her maiden Australian Open title.

Coco Gauff has been enjoying her time off and has frequently shared key moments of the festivities, offering glimpses of a rollercoaster ride and pre-Christmas fireworks on her social media handles.

On December 25, Coco Gauff reposted a Christmas greeting by Alabama apparel brand "Dixie Hart Designs," on her Instagram stories, writing,

"Happy birthday Jesus."

Before the Australian Open, Gauff is set to participate in the United Cup mixed-team event alongside fellow American top 10 player Taylor Fritz. The United States is a previous champion at the multi-city event, having won the inaugural edition in 2023.

Expressing confidence in doing well at the tune-up event, Gauff backed herself and Taylor Fritz to perform well at the event, considering their stellar seasons in 2024.

“We're both coming off a good year-end. And it'll be our second time playing together. So hopefully, we can do even better than the Olympics," she said (via Atptour.com).

Notably, she hit the tennis courts immediately after making the long journey to Australia despite jet lag. Gauff recently shared a story on Instagram showing a tennis stadium, indicating she has commenced preparations.

Coco Gauff ended her 2024 season on a high, winning the WTA Tour Finals for the first time after defeating Olympic Gold medallist Zheng Qinwen 3-6, 6-4, 7-6(2). She had also won the China Open, defeating Karolina Muchova in the final, and finished the year ranked No. 3.

Rick Macci, who previously worked with the Williams sisters, tipped Coco Gauff to become World No.1. In an X (formerly Twitter) post written by Macci in October, the veteran coach highlighted the 20-year-old's strong areas and wrote:

"Her overall quickness is number One. Her make up speed is number One. Her backbone is number One. Her slice serve on the duce court is number One. Coming soon to a court near you Coco Gauff will be number One," Macci wrote.

Macci also claimed that Coco Gauff will be a multiple Grand Slam winner. Gauff's first and only Major win so far came at the US Open in 2023, when she defeated Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka in the decider in front of her home crowd.
