For her New Year's Eve plans, Gauff, an avid escape room fan, revealed:

"Plans tonight? I don’t know. Maybe escape room & fireworks."

Later, in the mixed doubles matches featuring Fritz and Gauff against Ivan Dodig and Petra Marcinko, the American pair bagged another victory 6-2, 6-3.

The Americans secured another win, following a thrilling victory over Canada just days earlier. Gauff cruised past Leylah Fernandez 6-3, 6-2, but Fritz squandered his lead to fall to Felix Auger-Aliassime 6-4, 5-7, 3-6. However, the pair rebounded in the mixed doubles, with Gauff and Fritz defeating Fernandez and Auger-Aliassime 7-6, 7-5.
