Frances Tiafoe is used to making heads turn with his craft on the court, but over the last week, he’s taken social media by storm with his taste in fashion. Fellow American tennis star Coco Gauff, who has a keen interest in fashion and was featured on Vogue’s cover last year, doffed her hat to his new look.

Tiafoe modeled for Vogue in a chic brown jacket paired with washed-out blue jeans. A pair of tan boots and a coffee-colored hat complete the look. This comes just a few days after Tiafoe repped Koby Bryant’s and NFL team Washington Commanders' jerseys during practice sessions in the build-up to the Australian Open.

Gauff, who reached the semifinals of the Australian Open last year, gave Tiafoe’s head-turning photo a shoutout on Instagram when she reposted a still from the Vogue photoshoot on her story.

Coco Gauff and Frances Tiafoe are undoubtedly among the most stylish tennis players of the current generation, both on and off the court. They will bid for their maiden titles at the ongoing Australian Open with their first-round matches on Sunday, January 12.

Frances Tiafoe was among the celebrities who attended IB Kamara’s show for the Italian fashion brand Off-White last year. He told Vogue he makes time to attend New York Fashion Week whenever possible while reflecting on his fashion sense on and off the court.

“If I’m in the city during Fashion Week, I’m not not going. Don’t get me wrong, I’m battling as hard as I can for every point. But what we do, what we put our bodies through, at the end of the day it’s in the service of entertaining people,” Frances Tiafoe said.

Gauff comes into the year’s first Grand Slam on the back of leading Team USA to the United Cup trophy, an impressive campaign that included a massive win over Iga Swiatek. The third-seeded American will hope to make a deep run in Melbourne and go a step further from her last-four appearance in 2024.

Tiafoe last played in the Brisbane International, where he lost in the quarterfinals. He goes into the Australian Open as the 17th seed. His best finish at the Major was a 2019 quarterfinal appearance and he would want to re-write that this time.
