Coco Gauff has been named the highest-earning female athlete of 2024. The player, who is backed by Roger Federer’s agency, earned a significant lead over her rivals Iga Swiatek and Aryna Sabalenka.
According to the list published by Sportico, Gauff pocketed $30.4 million in combined on- and off-court earnings in 2024. This includes $9.4 million in prize money and $21 million in endorsements. Interestingly, the American, who won the WTA 250 in Auckland and the WTA 1000 in Beijing this year, had made just $4.6 million on the court before the final tournament of the season—the WTA Finals in Riyadh.
With her victory at the WTA Finals, Coco Gauff doubled her earnings, clinching a historic $4.8 million check—the biggest payday in WTA history.
As for her off-court earnings, Gauff, who has signed with Roger Federer’s agency, Team 8, boasts a robust portfolio. She has bagged several lucrative sponsorship deals, which include her clothing partner, New Balance; haircare brand Carol’s Daughter; audio equipment company Bose; clothing retailer American Eagle Outfitters, and racket sponsor Head.
Gauff’s 2024 earnings also show a significant upswing. According to Sportico, the American netted $22.7 million in 2023—the season she won her maiden Grand Slam at the US Open.
