Coco Gauff swapped her tennis racket for a chef's hat and treated herself to a well-deserved homemade steak dinner. Gauff showcased her culinary skills during her well-deserved break following an intense run at the 2025 Australian Open.

The 20-year-old recently concluded her sixth Australian Open campaign in Melbourne. As the third seed, Gauff breezed through her matches against opponents such as Sofia Kenin, Jodie Burrage, and 30th-seed Leylah Fernandez to reach her second consecutive quarterfinal at Melbourne Park. However, her journey was cut short in a hard-fought 5-7, 4-6 loss to 11th seed Paula Badosa.

In the aftermath of the tournament, Gauff decided to unwind and recharge by indulging in a culinary endeavor. On January 25, 2025, she took to Instagram to share a glimpse into her off-court life and her passion for cooking.

The 20-year-old shared a picture featuring a homemade steak dinner, complete with a baked potato and beans on the side.

"Made by moi," Gauff wrote.

In November 2024, Coco Gauff hosted "Friendsgiving" at her new home after moving out of her parents’ house earlier that year, though she chose to stay in Delray Beach. The American tennis star shared a glimpse of the celebration, featuring a food spread that included her homemade sweet potato pie, with all her guests contributing to the menu.

Coco Gauff discussed her journey of adapting to independent living after moving out of her parents' home. Gauff revealed that she was focusing on developing essential life skills to live on her own.

In a November 2024 interview with The National, she shared that while it felt like the right time to move, she remained close to her family, frequently visiting their home to practice tennis.

"I just felt like this was a time for me to move out. But I'm still in the same city as my parents, and my parents have a court at home, so I practise there still. So it feels somewhat the same," Gauff said.

The 20-year-old revealed she was learning to cook—a skill she hadn’t needed before, thanks to her parents’ love for cooking. Gauff admitted most of her culinary experiments had been successful, with only a few minor setbacks.

"Obviously, I'm living alone, so I'm just trying to learn how to cook more, something I never really had to do living with both parents who like to cook. So it's been something that I've been experimenting with, and had some mostly successes, some failures," she added.

Gauff currently has nine wins out of ten matches so far in 2025.
