Her Australian Open campaign is progressing as expected, with straight-set victories in all her matches: a 6-3, 6-3 win over Sofia Kenin, a 6-3, 7-5 second-round victory against Jodie Burrage, and a 6-4, 6-2 triumph over Leylah Fernandez in the third round.

Gauff’s next opponent will be Belinda Bencic, who advanced after Naomi Osaka retired from their match due to an abdominal injury.
