Coco Gauff's mother Candi was elated by her win over Jodie Burrage in the second round of the 2025 Australian Open. The American found herself 3-5 down in the second set but managed to dig deep and clinch a straight-set victory.

Gauff kicked off her campaign in Melbourne Park against 2020 champion Sofia Kenin and secured a routine 6-3, 6-3 win following which, she faced Burrage. The American was en route to claim another comfortable win, however, Burrage came out guns blazing in the second set to go ahead.

Coco Gauff put up a strong fight and won the match 6-3, 7-5. Following the match, the WTA's social media posted a picture on Instagram to celebrate the 20-year-old's win. Gauff's mother Candi shared the post on her Instagram story with a yellow heart emoji.

Candi often travels with her daughters for her matches. During a press conference ahead of the 2024 WTA Finals, the tournament champion spoke about how important it was for her to have her mother around.

"Yeah, I mean, both my parents are constant support all the time," Coco Gauff said. "My mom, it's just a motherly thing. There's nothing like a mother daughter relationship. Especially in swings like Asia where it maybe is more isolated than usual, we just play Uno lot."

Gauff has been playing some scintillating tennis since the Asian swing last year and will look to continue her rhythm as she takes on a dangerous player next.
