“I had, like, a lot of confidence in Taylor even before this week came. So I knew that if I got my point on the board, if I did my job, that the job would be done. So I had full belief in him. Even in the tight moments, he came through, yeah.”

When the 20-year-old was asked how much confidence winning her first United Cup gave her ahead of the Australian Open, she shared her thoughts enthusiastically.
“Yeah, I mean, honestly before every Grand Slam, I have the belief that I can win, and especially after US Open, I proved that I could do it. I definitely have belief that I can win.”

“Obviously this start of the season gives me a lot of confidence. I feel like when I'm playing confident tennis I'm playing great tennis. I definitely feel confident going into AO.”
