Coco Gauff recently provided a glimpse of how she is unwinding after concluding her campaign at the 2025 Australian Open. Gauff shared that she is currently spending her time in Delray Beach, Florida, indulging in takeout and watching Unrivaled.
Gauff was the third seed at the Melbourne Major and she made it to the quarterfinals before being defeated by 11th seed Paula Badosa. The World No. 3's best performance at the Grand Slam tournament was in 2024 when she reached the semifinals before being bested by the eventual champion, Aryna Sabalenka.
Following the conclusion of her Australian Open campaign, Gauff returned to the United States. She recently shared a photo of herself enjoying a relaxing day watching Unrivaled, a professional women's basketball league in which she is an investor. In the picture, she was also seen savoring Chinese takeout
“takeout & @unrivaledbasketball >> ," Gauff captioned her Instagram story.
Gauff kicked off her 2025 season in Australia by representing the United States at the United Cup. Alongside Taylor Fritz, she helped Team USA secure the title by defeating the Iga Swiatek-led Team Poland in the final. This marked the second time that USA claimed the United Cup title, with their first title win coming in 2023. On that occasion, they defeated Italy in the final.
After her triumph at the United Cup, Gauff comepeted at the 2025 Australian Open. On her way to the quarterfinals, Gauff secured victories over Sofia Kenin and Jodie Burrage in the first and second rounds, respectively. She then defeated Leylah Fernandez and Belinda Bencic in the third and fourth rounds, respectively, before ultimately falling to Paula Badosa in the last eight with a score of 5-7, 4-6.
Coco Gauff on investing in Unrivaled: “To support a league that’s redefining the game is exciting”
Earlier this month, in a statement released on the official website of Unrivaled, Coco Gauff expressed that basketball is one of her favorite sports and to be able to support a league that is "redefining" the sport is "exciting" for her.
Gauff also stated that she wants to continue to help elevate women’s sports to new heights to the best of her abilities
“I’m thrilled to be joining Unrivaled as an investor. Basketball is one of my favorite sports, and the chance to support a league that’s redefining the game is exciting . I look forward to being part of this movement and continuing to help elevate women’s sports to new heights,” Gauff said.
Unrivaled was founded by WNBA players Napheesa Collier and Breanna Stewart. In addition to Gauff, other investors of the league include Alex Morgan, Giannis Antetokounmpo and David Levy among others.
