Coco Gauff visited a dreamy waterside to rejuvenate after a successful yet hectic 2024 season. The American will look to take her performance up to an even higher level for the upcoming season.
Though Gauff played some scintillating tennis to kick her season off, winning the ASB Classic and reaching the semifinals of the Australian Open, her form dwindled as the season went on. She especially struggled during the North American hard-court swing, where she was the defending champion at the Cincinnati Open and the US Open.
After an underwhelming run, the 20-year-old parted ways with Brad Gilbert to bring Matt Daly on. The partnership found immediate success with Coco Guaff winning the China Open and following it up by clinching the WTA Finals. It is worth noting that she defeated the top seed Aryna Sabalenka and second seed Iga Switaek en route to the title.
The World No. 3 took to Instagram to share a photo of having a peaceful time at a soothing waterside on her story. She also added Frank Ocean's song 'Dear April' (Side A - Acoustic) to the story. Ocean was Gauff's top artist on her Apple Music Replay this year.
Although the American is enjoying the offseason, it seems that she has decided not to take a long rest since she is already back training. The 2023 US Open champion has also taken a 'work from home' approach in training to avoid travel fatigue.
Gauff has also received a valuable tip for her offseason training from a coach, who has coached five World No. 1 players like the Williams sisters.
Coco Gauff received valuable advice from Serena Williams' ex-coach Rick Macci that will help her 'shine bright'
Serena Williams' ex-coach Rick Macci, who often chronicles tales from the Williams sisters' childhood days, recently took to X to share some valuable advice with Coco Gauff.
Gauff failed to win any of the Majors this year and though she made it to the semifinals of the Australian Open and the French Open, the American faced fourth-round exits at Wimbledon and the US Open.
"MINOR adjustments in the off season can shine bright in MAJOR events. @CocoGauff," Macci tweeted.
Coco Gauff will look forward to adopting the "minor adjustments" in her off-season, as per the advice, so as to come out stronger next season. Moreover, she ended her year on a high which will be a relief for her fans.
