Christopher Eubanks’ latest Miami Open 2023 victory ushered in a significant milestone in the American’s tennis career and Hollywood actor Jamie Foxx has taken note of it.
The 26-year-old's win over Gregoire Barrere in the third round in Miami assured him of his debut inside the ATP’s top 100. The athlete currently holds the World No. 96 position in the live rankings.

Eubanks, who hadn’t made the third round of a Masters 1000 event before the on-going tournament, battled through the qualifiers and knocked out a couple of tough opponents such as Denis Kudla and reigning Cincinnati Masters champion Borna Coric at the Miami Open.
On Monday, March 27, Christopher Eubanks scored a commanding 6-3, 7-6(7) win over Barrere in the third round of the tournament and consequently broke inside the world's top 100 for the first time in his career.
The American was overcome with emotion when he received the ground-breaking update. He expressed his feelings after the match, stating that the idea of launching himself inside the top 100 had been lingering on his mind the past few weeks.
“The past few weeks have been really, really tough just because I’ve been kind of thinking about top 100 and everything,” Eubanks said after his match. “I had some losses that I shouldn’t have [had] and I was really second-guessing a lot about my game and everything,” he said, adding, “Wow, it feels good. It feels good.”
