Boris Becker expressed his shock over a dangerous situation Cristiano Ronaldo faced during Portugal's latest match. The Portuguese, along with the rest of the European continent, is currently in Becker's hometown of Germany for the UEFA Euro 2024 tournament.

A freak accident took place after Portugal's final game of the group stage against debutants Georgia. The 2016 Euro champions suffered a 0-2 defeat to Georgia as they secured a ticket to the knockout stage.

As Ronaldo made his way through the tunnel after the match, a spectator jumped over the stand and fell in front of the Portuguese star. The nasty fall could have potentially injured the 39-year-old, but thankfully, he remained unscathed.

The German tennis star took to X and wrote:

"Crazy/dangerous moment for CR7…"

Boris Becker's home team, Germany, has had a good campaign so far. They started with a crackling 5-1 win against Scotland on the opening day and then followed up with a 2-0 win against Hungary.

The hosts were staring at a 0-1 defeat against Switzerland on the final matchday but a late strike from Niclas Fullkrug rescued a point and helped them remain unbeaten. Now, Germany will face Denmark as they fight for a place in the quarterfinals.

Boris Becker is a big football fan and supports Bayern Munich, a team in the Bundesliga. He also served on the Board of Directors of the Bundesliga Giants for 10 years.

He appeared on the 'Rio Ferdinand Presents Five' YouTube channel for an interview in 2012 and revealed his conversation with German legend Franz Beckenbauer.

"Yeah, I was on the Board of Directors (Bayern Munich) for 10 years. After my professional tennis career, Franz Beckenbauer asked me ‘Listen, you know so much about the sport and you are great PR machine for our club and players respect you, why don’t you come on the board’," Becker said.

Becker said he was happy to join the club but had to leave his position as he moved away from Munich. He also stated that he still kept tabs on the team.

"I was happy to join like a kid in the candy store. I met all the players and it was a wonderful time but I moved away from Munich. I am living away now so I moved out but obviously, I still followed the team a lot," he said.

Boris Becker is a six-time Grand Slam winner, with his first major title coming at just 17 years of age at Wimbledon.
