Barbora Krejcikova recently suggested she had fun dancing with Carlos Alcaraz at the 2024 Wimbledon Champions' dinner. She and Carlos Alcaraz grooved to Dua Lipa's hit single 'Dance the Night' after becoming the singles champions at the grass-court Major.

Krejcikova defeated Italy's Jasmine Paolini 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 in the final at Centre Court on Saturday, July 13, whereas Alcaraz bettered Novak Djokovic 6-2, 6-2, 7-6(4) to successfully defend his title a day later.

After their triumphs, the two joined each other on stage during the customary Wimbledon ball and performed briefly to uphold the age-old tradition of dancing at SW19.

Now in New York to fight for the 2024 US Open women's singles title, Barbora Krejcikova addressed the media at Flushing Meadows, where a journalist asked her about the 'most fun' thing about being a Wimbledon champion.

"It's a good question. Most fun, I would say dancing with Carlos [Alcaraz]," Krejcikova replied.

She then rated her and Carlos Alcaraz's performance, saying:

"I think we did quite well. I don't think none of us is quite a good dancer. I guess as he is Spanish he should be better than Czechs. But yeah, I think I guess you saw the video? Did you see the video? No? It was on Twitter everywhere."

Krejcikova further reflected on the experience, saying:

"I think it was nice. I really enjoyed it. I like the traditions, and it's a big tradition of Wimbledon. So I'm happy that we danced together and that we enjoyed the evening."

The US Open will be Krejcikova's very first tournament since the Paris Olympics, where she lost in the quarterfinals of both the singles and doubles tournaments.

Barbora Krejcikova and Carlos Alcaraz are both among the top 10 seeds at US Open 2024, with the Czech eighth while the Spaniard is third.

Krejcikova will face Spanish qualifier Marina Bassols Rivera in the first round of the New York Major. The two will lock horns for the very first time and the winner will take on either Julia Grabher or Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the second round.

Carlos Alcaraz will lock horns with Australian qualifier Li Tu in his tournament opener, which will also be the very first meeting between the two. The winner of the match will face Denis Shapovalov or Jan-Lennard Struff in the second round of the New York Major.
