Daniil Medvedev delighted fans by announcing that he and his wife, Daria, have welcomed their second child. The couple already has a daughter, Alisa.

Medvedev last competed at the ATP Finals in Turin, Italy, last year, and has not participated in any tournaments since. While many of his peers have already begun their 2025 season in Australia or New Zealand, he has been noticeably absent.
Fans began speculating about Medvedev's whereabouts, and they finally got their answer when the Russian shared a picture on his Instagram on Tuesday, January 7. The photo showed him holding his newborn baby in his lap, with his daughter Alisa smiling beside him, announcing that he and Daria have welcomed their second child.

The former US Open champion wrote in the caption:
"Happy 2025," accompanied by a heart emoji.
Medvedev and Daria have not revealed the baby's gender. Nonetheless, the family has started a new chapter in the new year with this exciting news.
