Novak Djokovic is once again at the top of the world, as well as the ATP rankings, after winning the 2023 Australian Open. This prompted a tennis fanatic to make a tribute video for the Serbian, which has been appreciated by Daria Saville.

After being deported from Australia in 2022 in light of his unvaccinated status against the coronavirus, he was handed a three-year visa ban. However, the new central government lifted the ban, which allowed him to return and play his favorite tournament — the Australian Open.

Despite struggling with a hamstring injury, the 35-year-old won his tenth Melbourne title, dropping only one set in seven matches. He defeated Greece's Stefanos Tsitsipas in the title clash in straight sets to become only the second man after Rafael Nadal to win 22 Grand Slam titles.

Celebrating his success, a fan made a heartwarming video showing Djokovic's numerous on and off-court moments. It includes footage from his childhood, moments with family, having fun with the rest of the players, and some of his career's best moments. The video was accompanied by Taylor Swift's song 'You're On Your Own, Kid' from the album Midnights, which was released in 2022.

Upon coming across the video, 28-year-old Saville shared it on her social media and wrote:

"I actually love this."

As soon as Djokovic won the final, he regained the World No. 1 ranking, beginning his 374th week at the top on Monday (January 30). He also surpassed Nadal to become the fourth man in the Open Era with the most singles titles — 93. The only players above him are Jimmy Connors (109), Roger Federer (103), and Ivan Lendl (94).

The Serb has a 12-0 win-loss record this year and is likely to resume the tour at the ATP 500 Dubai Tennis Championships, which will be held from February 27 to March 4.

On Monday, January 30, the US government declared that the country will end the national public health emergency and all the restrictions caused by the coronavirus on May 11, 2023. This means that Novak Djokovic, who missed the 2022 US Open, will be able to return to New York to compete once again.

However, it also means that he will have to miss the Masters 1000 tournaments like the Indian Wells and Miami Open, which will be held in March. The Serb will also be able to play in the Canadian Open and Cincinnati Open in August. He missed all the events last year due to his stance on COVID-19 vaccines.
