In an electrifying Round of 16 match at the Winston-Salem Open 2024, Dhakshineswar Suresh and Luca Pow pulled off a remarkable 2-1 win over Argentina’s Andres Molteni and Ariel Behar. After winning the first set 4-6, Suresh and Pow lost the second set 7-5. However, they sealed the deal in a nail-biting 10-8 finish in the final set.

From the start, Suresh and Pow clicked on the hardcourts of Winston-Salem, playing off each other's strengths to gain an early lead. In an impressive ATP debut, Dhakshineswar Suresh ranked 1089th in the world, pulled off a stunning upset by defeating Russia's Alexey Zakharov, who is ranked 337th, in the first round of qualifying at the ATP 250 Winston-Salem Open. The young Indian, who also plays for Wake Forest University, thrilled the home crowd with a 7-6(5), 6-2 win.

However, facing Learner Tien in the next round, Suresh bowed out of the men's singles event with a 3-6, 4-6 loss to Tien. Despite firing nine aces, Suresh found it challenging to overcome 232nd-ranked Tien’s rock-solid baseline game.
