Diego Schwartzman has been the victim of a robbery as distressing scenes have emerged. The Argentinian seemingly had parked his car as he went for a practice session but returned to find that his car had been unfortunately vandalized.

Schwartzman is enjoying his final few months on the tour as a professional as he is gearing up to bid tennis adieu in Argentina next season. He was last seen in action at the 2024 US Open where he powered through the qualifiers to reach the main draw. However, he was ousted by veteran Gael Monfils in four sets, following which the Argentine was honored in a ceremony.

This week, the 32-year-old found himself in an unfortunate position when he came out of a practice session only to find that his car had been vandalized and he had been robbed.

On his Instagram stories, Schwartzman shared images of his car, which had been visibly broken into with the windows smashed. He wrote,

"Get out of the court and get everything stolen" (translated from Spanish).

There have been other similar unfortunate scenarios this year where a tennis player has been a victim of robbery. Sebastian Korda had his €300,000 Richard Mille watch snatched and Maria Timofeeva was robbed of €10,000 under mysterious circumstances.

In matters relating to tennis, Diego Schwartzman has been out of action for a while but he recently made an appearance on the "Nothing Major" podcast, where he revealed the most intimidating player he played against.

Diego Schwartzman appeared earlier this week on the "Nothing Major" podcast, hosted by the American quartet of Steven Johnson, John Isner, Jack Sock, and Sam Querrey.

During his appearance, he shared that Jannik Sinner was the most intimidating player he faced on the tour and was surprised by what the latter brought to the table. The Argentine mentioned how he had faced Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic, but found playing against Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz 'crazy.' He said,

“Let’s choose one of the new guys. I think Sinner. I played him a few times. He wasn’t even top 10 yet. I was saying ‘Come on… what is this guy?’ Sliding, power... movement.. everything. It’s scary. It’s crazy because we played against Novak, Roger, Rafa. These guys are Gods. But Sinner and Alcaraz… what they do with their bodies is crazy.”

Diego Schwartzman, a former World No. 8, has struggled with form this year. He has a poor 0-8 win-loss record this year in the main draws and his last win came against Vilius Gaubas in the qualifiers of the US Open.
