Elena Rybakina's latest selfie with a quokka has taken the tennis world by storm. In the last few years, a selfie with the adorable quokka has become a tradition among tennis stars, when they visit Australia at the beginning of the season. Players such as Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic have all participated in the trend.
The latest one to join this list of players was Rybakina, who is in Perth for the 2025 United Cup. She recently took to Instagram to share an adorable selfie with a quokka. What made this selfie even better was that the always-happy quokka had an even bigger smile on its face.
"Hello from Perth. Smile for everyone," she captioned her post.
The photo has gone viral on the internet garnering over 30,000 In just five hours. Many have hailed Elena Rybakina's click as the pinnacle of quokka selfies.

Elena Rybakina is up and running at the 2025 United Cup playing a crucial role in Kazakhstan's monumental win in their opening tie against tennis powerhouse Spain. While Pablo Carreno Busta decimated Alexander Shevchenko in the opening match, she leveled the tie against Jessica Bouzas Maneiro.
Rybakina teamed up with Shevchenko to win a thrilling doubles match against Yvonne Cavalle Reimers and Pablo Carreno Busta 7-6(4), (2)6-7, 10-7. The Kazakh has also laid down her goals for the 2025 season.

During her press conference, Elena Rybakina was asked what she was targeting to achieve in 2025, to which the Kazakh said that her paramount priority was to complete the season without any health issues. Her 2024 season was hampered by a plethora of health issues and she missed out on many tournaments.
Speaking about her plans for the next season, Rybakina said:
“Well, definitely to play the full season because last season I was not playing China. I had to skip. I had some health issues. I think that's the most important for me to stay healthy, to play from beginning until the end. Yeah, of course, I'm focusing on the Grand Slams and try to get some big titles.”
The Kazakh has also brought Novak Djokovic's ex-coach Goran Ivanisevic on board and will look to add some big titles to her trophy cabinet.
