Emma Raducanu started her training for her next tournament and recently shared a cryptic post of her gym. The player will commence her 2025 season by competing in the ASB Classic.

Raducanu wrapped up her 2024 season after competing in the Billie Jean King Cup, and ahead of that, she competed in the Korea Open, which was cut short due to a foot injury. She reached the third round of the tournament, where she squared off against Daria Kasatkina and had to walk over, giving her contender the win with a score of 6-1.

Following this injury, the Brit had to withdraw from several tournaments, such as the Hong Kong Open and China Open. Now, after enjoying her downtime, Raducanu is gearing up for the 2025 season and will soon be seen competing at the ASB Classic, which is scheduled to be held on December 30. She has reached Auckland for the tournament and was seen training for it.

Raducanu shared a cryptic photo on her Instagram story, where she was seen clicking the picture of something unspecified in her gym. She donned a cropped blue hoodie and black Nike shorts with white sneakers. She added the caption:

Emma Raducanu opened up about winning the US Open early in her career

Emma Raducanu won her first US Open title when she was just 19 years old, and in an interview with the LTA National Tennis Centre, she revealed that achieving her goal at this early age has made her frustrated. She said that she was unaware of what she should aim for next. In her first US Open win, the Brit defeated Leylah Fernandez with a score of 6-4, 6-3.

“Initially when I first started, before I won the US Open, my main reason was: ‘I want to win a grand slam’. And that happened so young. I’m so grateful for it. But as soon as that happens, I’m like, ‘OK, well what now? I want to win another grand slam’. It’s just not sustainable,’” Emma Raducanu said.

She added:

“Because, when you don’t win another Grand Slam straight away, you get frustrated with that. Now, the reason I play is genuine. I really enjoy what I’m doing, how I’m working, the people I’m working with. And I just want to see how good I can be. I really want to see how fast I can be, how fit I can be, how explosive, how well I can move, what I can do. It’s literally just about playing it like a game, seeing how far I can go."

Emma Raducanu has won a Grand Slam title in her career so far.
