Emma Raducanu has sent her love to Paula Badosa after the Spaniard's second-round win at the 2024 Bad Homburg Open. Badosa is through to the quarterfinals of the WTA 500 event, bolstering her confidence in the lead-up to the Wimbledon Championships.
Badosa is delivering a strong campaign at the Bad Homburg Open in Germany, claiming a commanding 6-4, 6-1 win over Arantxa Rus in her tournament opener. She then booked her place in her maiden grasscourt quarterfinal by coming back from a set down to beat Jule Niemeier 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.
In the on-court interview following her hard-fought win, the former World No. 2 hilariously disclosed her plans to unwind with a visit to the spa.
"Come on. What is this town known for? The most important: spa," she said. "I will practice, rest a bit, maybe I will go to the spa. That's my day tomorrow."
The 26-year-old also took to social media to celebrate her success, sharing a picture of herself basking in the "golden hour" sun after her victory.
"Golden hour 💛," she captioned her Instagram post.
Emma Raducanu affectionately extended her support to Paula Badosa by showering her with heart emojis, with the Spaniard responding in kind.
"❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️," Raducanu commented.
"💗💗💗," the Spaniard replied.
Raducanu herself achieved a significant victory at the Rothesay International in Eastbourne ahead of the grasscourt Major, beating Sloane Stephens 6-4, 6-0 in her opening match at the WTA 500 event.
