Emma Raducanu participated in a game where she built the 'Perfect Wimbledon Player' based on specific qualities. However, there were limitations involved which saw her make a player that fans did not agree with.
The British player is back in her home country to play in the Rothesay Open in Nottingham. The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA), which is an organizing body of the tournament, uploaded a video of the game played by Raducanu.
The game consisted of qualities like serve, backhand, forehand, touch, speed, and mentality. Raducanu would be provided with a player and she would have to choose which quality of that player she wants to use to build the perfect Wimbledon player.
However, the trick was that she did not know which player would be an option next. If she chose a player's quality, she could not change her choice.
The video of her playing the game was posted by an X account. The 21-year-old selected Aryna Sabalenka for mentality and fans were amused by her choice.
"Mentality and Sabalenka?! She never watched Saba play either," wrote one fan.
"SHE CANT BE SERIOUS PLS," wrote another.
She picked Stefanos Tsitsipas for forehand, Taylor Fritz for serve, Rafael Nadal for backhand, Ben Shelton for touch, and Coco Gauff for speed. Here are some more fan reactions to Raducanu's selections:
"Nearly picked Stefanos for backhand. Clearly a huge tennis fan," one fan wrote sarcastically.
"Emma Raducanu has never watched Stefanos Tsitsipas play tennis," another fan wrote.
"She doesn’t follow tennis, men tennis," a third fan wrote.
One fan defended her, claiming that the specific rules of the game were not mentioned and her choices would be due to that.
"She was presented with a player and had to either put them in a slot or press skip. There was probably a limit to the number of times she could press skip, and in any case probably a realistic time limit on the game. She couldn't simply nominate her choice for each category," they wrote.
Ons Jabeur also built the perfect Wimbledon player like Emma Raducanu

Ons Jabeur also played the game of building the 'Perfect Wimbledon Player' just like Emma Raducanu did.
The Tunisian chose Ben Shelton for serve, Rafael Nadal for forehand, Victoria Azarenka for backhand, Gael Monfils for touch, Stefanos Tsitsipas for speed and Serena Williams for mentality.
Both Jabeur and Raducanu begin their grass court season on Tuesday (June 11) at the Rothesay Open in Nottingham.
