Emma Raducanu shared highlights from her recent pre-season training session as she geared up for the upcoming 2025 season. The Brit included a selfie where she could be seen sporting a collared Nike outfit.
Raducanu returned to the tennis court in 2024 after an injury-marred 2023 season, where she had to undergo surgery on her ankle and wrists to remove carpal bosses. However, the Brit's return has been far from ideal as she struggled throughout the year to find her rhythm, though she has shown some glimpses.
It seems that Raducanu has left her woes of the 2024 season behind and kicked off her preparations for the 2025 season. She earlier posted a few photos of herself from her training session on Instagram.
The Brit shared some more highlights from her latest training session. One of those featured her with a collared Nike shirt with the popular Nike tennis logo. Another highlight focused on her Nike shoes as she practiced serving while standing on the 'borderline'.
Speaking to the media during the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup, where she went 3-0 in singles, Raducanu said she was 'excited' and 'itchy' to get to the practice court as soon as the off-season began. Unfortunately, team Britain was defeated 1-2 in the semifinals by Slovakia.
“I think traditionally you'd probably have a bit of a break and take a holiday or something,” Raducanu said. “But I feel like I have had four, five weeks off tennis, and I don't really need any more time off. If anything, I'm excited and just itchy to get on the practice court, and of course seeing some of my performances this week, it just incentivizes me to do more work.” Raducanu said, via wtatennis.com.
"I know I'm a dangerous player" - Emma Raducanu gives herself a "pat" on her back after a tough 2024 season
Continuing her thoughts, as per the aforementioned source, Emma Rducanu also hailed herself as a 'dangerous player', who no player wanted on their side of the draw. She then wished that her health would be supportive and allow her to compete in 2025.
“My assessment is, I think sometimes I need reminding,” she said. “I'm top 60 in the world and I have played less than 15 events, which is pretty unheard of, in a way. I have to pat myself on the back for that. I know I'm a dangerous player. I know no one wants to pull my name in the draw. I take pride in that, and I'm looking forward to hopefully staying on court longer next yea,” Emma Raducanu said.
Emma Raducanu is slated to kick off her 2025 campaign at the ASB Classic, which will begin on December 30. She had earlier stated that she was prepared to work and ready to do some 'damage' next year.
