Eugenie Bouchard shares her enthusiasm at teaming up with Andy Roddick for Pickleball Slam 3
The inaugural edition of the Pickleball Slam in 2023 saw Andy Roddick and Andre Agassi oust John McEnroe and Michael Chang in the final showdown. In it's third edition, Roddick and Agassi will find themselves on opposite sides of the net.
With a mixed-doubles format, Roddick will partner with Eugenie Bouchard while Agassi will team-up with wife and 22-time Grand Slam champion Steffi Graf.
In a promotional video for the event, Eugenie Bouchard shared her "love" for the mixed-double format of the game.
"I love that it's mixed doubles. I think fans love mixed doubles in tennis. I've always loved playing mixed doubles as a tennis player, so it's fun to have the women on the court, the men on the court, to have the power from the men and just see how it all combines."
She also spoke of Roddick and admitted to being unfamiliar with his game.
"I don't know Andy's game at all so I think I'll probably need to call him and be like okay, what are your strengths, what are your weakness? Let's develop a game plan here.
"It obviously makes the men take on a little bit here especially at the kitchen line, they have a longer reach, more power, so I will be relying on Andy to lead the way in that sense."
All four players have also engaged in hilarious banters via promotional videos as a build-up to the event.
