Eugenie Bouchard recently reacted to an AI graphic that reimagined her as a popular character from the X-Men series. The graphic also turned other competitors from the highly-anticipated Pickleball Slam 3, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, and Andy Roddick, into superheroes.
The third edition of the popular pickleball exhibition is set to take place on February 16, 2025, at the Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas. This edition will see the tennis power couple Agassi and Grad take on the duo of Bouchard and Roddick for the prize of $1 million.
The Instagram page of Pickleball Slam recently posted some AI-generated images reimagining the competitors of the highly-anticipated event as superheroes from the popular Marvel franchise. While Andre Agassi was turned into the leader of the X-Men, Charles Xavier, his wife Steffi Graf was presented in the form of Captain Marvel.
On the other hand, Eugenie Bouchard became Phoenix, who has telepathic and telekinetic abilities, and Andy Roddick looked rugged in the form of the beloved Wolverine.
Bouchard shared the post on her Instagram story, and had a one-word reaction:
"Lol"
The Agassi-Graf couple issued a tongue-in-cheek warning to the American-Canadian duo ahead of their battle. It is worth noting that Bouchard is the only athlete out of the four to actively play pickleball professionally.
"I don't want to have to beat them" - Eugenie Bouchard hilariously reacted to Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf praising her
The official Instagram page of pickleball slam posted a video of Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf praising Eugenie Bouchard for "bridging the gap" between tennis and pickleball with her transition.
Graff said,
"Genie’s been really playing well this year, taking it professional. I think the jump from tennis into pickleball is not an easy transition, and doubles and mixed is so different from tennis, so it's a little harder. We're hoping she doesn't have too much of an edge there."
Agassi added,
"To Stef’s point, I totally respect Genie for being one of the first ones to bridge that gap from tennis to pickle. The strength it takes, the courage it takes, to put yourself in a competitive environment, put yourself on the line in something that's not terribly familiar to you, just shows her competitive (nature)."
Eugenie Bouchard reacted to their nice words and joked,
“They’re so nice. I don't want to have to beat them in February.”
Bouchard had earlier jokingly said Agassi was 'scared' of facing her.
