Coco Gauff hasn’t shied away from sharing the endearing details of her “first real relationship” with her boyfriend. However, the American No. 1 has refrained from directly revealing his identity.
Gauff is presently competing at the 2025 Australian Open, chasing her second Grand Slam title. The player started her campaign on a high note, carrying the USA to a second title at the United Cup. In Melbourne, she faces compatriot Sofia Kenin in the first round.
Gauff won her maiden Grand Slam at the 2023 US Open. At the time, the American revealed how her boyfriend’s support helped her cross the finish line against now World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in the final.

Coco Gauff revealed that she kept herself from being overwhelmed by the enormity of the occasion ahead of her US Open final by resorting to a call with her boyfriend.
"Last night, I started (to get into my own head) a little bit, but honestly, I just called my boyfriend, and I told him let's talk until it's time to go to sleep so we spoke until 1:00 a.m. and then I went to sleep," she said in her press conference.
During an interview with Time magazine, she called it her “first real relationship.”
"This is my first real relationship. To just have someone to talk to who is not involved in tennis at all gives me a fresh perspective," she said.

In her interview with Vogue in 2024, Coco Gauff disclosed that her boyfriend is a “very nice guy.” Sharing rare insight into his identity, the World No. 3 said that he hails from her hometown, Atlanta, and plays the guitar.
"He’s a very nice guy. He’s in school now. He’s about to apply for music school. He wants to be an actor and he plays the guitar. He’s not from Delray. He’s actually from Atlanta," Gauff said.
