Camila Giorgi recently listed herself as a retired player on the ITIA website. Reports since then have claimed foul play on behalf of the Italian player and her family. Fans have been amused with such reports coming in from Italy.

According to the website, Giorgi filed her retirement on May 7. She did not formally announce her decision and the tennis world was taken aback by the sudden retirement.

Soon after, reports about her alleged tax discrepancies surfaced. According to the Italian media, Giorgi and her family relocated to the United States after facing tax problems in Italy.

A recent report in Corriere states that Giorgi and her family caused huge losses to their landlords in Italy. According to the landlord, Giorgi's family did not pay rent for six months and stole furniture from the house. They even stole an antique half-ton table and damages to the landlord amount to over €50,000.

Fans were amused by the reports coming out of Italy and plenty of them took to their X accounts to comment on the matter.

Days after Camila Giorgi's abrupt retirement shocked the tennis world, she took to Instagram to address the issue. She formally announced her retirement and rued the rumors around it.
