Fabio Fognini's wife Flavia Pennetta delivers 3-word verdict on her husband's performance on 'Dancing With The Stars' Italy edition

Fabio Fognini's wife recently reacted to her husband's marvelous performance on the Italian version of the hit reality show Dancing with the Stars. The Italian's performance has received an electrifying response from the tennis fraternity.

Though he was having an underwhelming 2024 season, Fognini clinched the Montemar Challenger to finish his year on a high. With the season over, the 37-year-old decided to go on an escapade and test his dancing chops by appearing on the reality TV show Ballando con le Stelle (Dancing with the Stars in Italian), which pairs a celebrity with a choreographer.

The 37-year-old set the stage ablaze with the help of his partner Giada Lini as they performed Jive to the popular song 'Great Balls of Fire'. It is worth noting that Fognini wasn't a participant but made a guest appearance. He took to Instagram,

"Amazing experience with an amazing team! I had a lot of fun! Thank you@milly_carlucci @ballandoconlestelle @rai1officialand of course thanks to my super [email protected]."

On the other hand, the Italian' star's choreographer Lini also commented under the post,

"Thanks to you Fabio for this beautiful experience, it was an honor! a big good luck for your next tournaments!" a translated version of Lini's comment.

Fognini's blockbuster performance also received some nice words from Boris Becker and Alexander Zverev.

Fabio Fognini and Flavio Pennetta got married in 2016 in Ostuni, Apulia, Italy after about two years of dating. Pennetta called quits on her tennis career at the end of the 2015 season. This was the year when she won the US Open after beating compatriot Roberta Vinci in the final.

During their appearance on the Italian TV show Verissimo in 2022, Pennetta talked about how she had to make the first move since it felt like Fognini was scared to the initiative.

"At a certain point, I don't know when, his gaze changed, we were looking for each other so much but we were both engaged," the former World No. 6 said.

"It was I who made the first move. We were very close friends, Fabio was too respectful towards me, maybe he was afraid of taking a stake and this is why he never took the initiative. Then one day I asked him to come closer and suddenly I kissed him," she added.

Fabio Fognini and Flavia Pennetta are parents to three children, a son, who is the eldest, and two daughters.
