German tennis legend Boris Becker recently posted pictures on social media from his son Amadeus Becker's 13th birthday celebrations.

Amadeus Becker was born to Boris Becker and his ex-wife Lilly Kerssenberg in February 2010. On February 10, 2023, the youngest child of the German tennis icon turned 13.

The six-time Grand Slam champion, who was recently released from prison after being sentenced for concealing his assets, seemed thrilled to get the opportunity to be by his son’s side on the special day. Boris, who used to reside in London, is said to have returned to his home country after his release from prison, which likely made the time spent with Amadeus sweeter.

The happy father shared the news of his son’s birthday by posting an adorable picture of the two with their little fingers entangled together, signifying their loving bond.

“A father and son bond goes beyond any borders. We loved celebrating the 13th birthday of Amadeus in the past days!” he shared with his fans and followers on social media.

Apart from Amadeus, Boris Becker has two other sons - Noah Gabriel and Elias Balthasar - with his first wife Barbara.

In April 2022, Boris Becker was sentenced to 30 months in prison for hiding assets after he was declared bankrupt. The German tennis player was, however, released after serving eight months.

Speaking about the impact of the ordeal, the 55-year-old said that living in prison has made him more humble.

"I am the same person, but I have become more humble," said the German. "I think I have found in myself the human that I was many years ago."

Becker further stated that his wrongdoings taught him a harsh lesson, but acknowledged the positive aftermath of the unfortunate event.

“This condemnation was a very harsh lesson. A lesson that hurt me a lot,” he confessed. “But with hindsight, it also had positive repercussions. I thought a lot, I recognised my missteps. I didn't always have the right people around me, I was badly advised," he said.
"These eight months have softened me. I want to keep this straight path. I received a second chance, it's up to me to seize it and to be faithful to my principles. This prison stay allowed me to find myself, it served me," he added.
