Felix Auger-Aliassime made his feelings known after winning the 2025 Adelaide International title
Felix Auger-Aliassime ended his 2024 season with the Round of 16 qualification at the Cincinnati Open, recording his 50th Masters win. Fresh off the achievement, he blazed through a contentious line-up of players at the Adelaide International, clinching his first win in the first week of 2025.
"Hey everyone, Felix here. I'm so happy. First week of the year, first title of the year. An amazing week for me. Great level at the end of the final, so I'm really thrilled, really happy for myself and the rest of the team. Let's have a great 2025," he said in Adelaide International's Instagram post.
As per the ATP Tour, the 24-year-old shared how difficult it was for him to win titles early in his career.
"It feels great, any title feels amazing. I've had my fair share of difficulty to win titles in the beginning of my career, and now every one means a lot. To show that I can play well on other surfaces, to get over that hump and win a first title outdoors, is great," he said.
He then thanked his team and his close ones for their support and expressed anticipation for a successful year ahead.
"Most importantly, thank you to my team, my group, my dad. Thank you for everything. Thank you also to my family back home, my fiancée and her family. It’s the best support you can have as a player," he added.
Auger-Aliassime had a decorated junior career, becoming the youngest player to defend a Challenger title at 17 years and ten months at the ATP Challenger Tour.
