Frances Tiafoe recently spoke about the Washington Commanders' victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. With this win, the Commanders moved closer to clinching the NFC East championship.
On Sunday, December 22, the Washington Commanders triumphed 36-33 over the Philadelphia Eagles and improved their season record to 10-5. It also marked an end to the Eagles' 10-game winning streak .
Commanders' quarterback Jayden Daniels' performance was instrumental to their win, with the 24-year-old throwing five touchdowns, a feat not seen since Mark Rypien did it in 1991.
Following the conclusion of the game, the Washington Commanders' official social media accounts shared a video of Daniels' touchdown. They also shared another video of head coach Dan Quinn celebrating with the team in the locker room

Frances Tiafoe, who is a Washington native and avid Commanders fan, took to social media to celebrate the team's victory over the Philadelphia Eagles. He shared the videos of Jayden Daniels' touchdown as well as coach Quinn's celebration with the players.
“DC or nothing ✊🏿 ✊🏿 ✊🏿 @commanders," Tiafoe captioned his Instagram story.
“DQ yessuhh," he added.
When Frances Tiafoe talked about what it is like to play in Washington: “Nothing beats it"
Last year, while speaking to NBC Sports, Frances Tiafoe expressed that nothing compares to playing in his hometown of Washington. He said that he was "humbled" by the support he received from the locals.
“Nothing beats it. To have those moments is incredible . I’m super humbled by it," Tiafoe said [via NBC Sports].
Tiafoe stated that he supports various Washington-based teams, such as the Washington Capitals, an ice hockey team in the National Hockey League (NHL), as well as the Washington Mystics and the Washington Wizards, the women's and men's basketball, respectively
“I’m always here, man. All my off time is here. I go to all the local restaurants and all the bougie restaurants. I’m really plugged in with the Wizards. I’m tapped into the Mystics. I go to Caps games," he continued .
The former World No.10 also revealed that whenever he has some time off from the ATP Tour, he spends his time in Washington as all his family lives there.
“From every department in my life too, this is home. I’ve got cousins, family, friends, loved ones. This is genuinely one of the best cities in the world . Call me biased or whatever, sure," Tiafoe said.
The 26-year-old finished his 2024 season with 33 wins out of 59 matches, most notably reaching his maiden Masters 1000 final in Cincinnati. Looking ahead, Frances Tiafoe will begin his 2025 tennis season at the Brisbane International which will take place from December 29, 2024. The American last competed in the tournament in 2018, where he lost in the first round
