Frances Tiafoe shows loyalty to $6.3B-worth Commanders as they gear up to face Eagles for Super Bowl berth

Frances Tiafoe shared the look of his fit before heading to the much-awaited match-up between the Washington Commanders and the Philadelphia Eagles at the NFC Championship. The Commanders advanced to the conference championship for the first time since 1991.

Frances Tiafoe started his 2025 tennis season with a second-round exit from the Brisbane International. His following stint at the Australian Open also ended early after he faced defeat by Fabian Marozsan in the second round. Shortly after the heartbreak, the former World No. 10 shifted his attention to football, anticipating the NFC Championship on January 26, 2025.

In a recent Instagram story, Tiafoe posted a photo of the view from his window, wishing luck to the Washington Commanders, who have a valuation of 6.3 billion (as per Forbes) for the match-up against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field, Philadelphia.

The DC Commanders stunned the Detroit Lions in the divisional playoff scoring 45-31. The team will clash against the Eagles to secure a berth in the Super Bowl, facing either the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills on February 10.

On January 13, 2025, despite throwing up on the court due to over-hydration, Tiafoe clinched the first-round AO win over Arthur Rinderknech after a thrilling five-setter. Amid the match, some fans told the American about DC's victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL Wild Card round.

Speaking in an on-court interview, the Grand Slam semifinalist expressed excitement and even shouted out to wide receiver Terry McLaurin and quarterback Jayden Daniels for their efforts.

"Commanders baby! Some fans told me. They just told me when I finished. I started laughing man. Shoutout to Jayden Daniels, shoutout to my man Terry McLaurin. Unbelievable, man.... "

Frances Tiafoe added:

"JD5 and Terry, I love you'll boys. Mark, you're probably acting like the owner right now, like Josh Harris himself. But, congratulations everybody. That's so big for DMV. Today, my win is big for DMV as well."

Tiafoe celebrated his 27th birthday with his girlfriend Ayan Broomfield on January 20, 2025.
