French Open 2023 women's singles winner odds: Iga Swiatek the outright favorite to win the title, followed by Aryna Sabalenka and Elena Rybakina

Defending women's singles champion Iga Swiatek has once again emerged as the clear favorite to win the French Open. While her results in the lead-up to the tournament pale in comparison to her last year's heroics, she's still the player to beat on clay. BetMGM lists her at -120 odds to claim her third title in Paris.

As in, a bet of $120 on Swiatek will fetch $100 upon a successful title run. The Pole is gunning for her third title at the venue in the last four years. She has established herself as the leading claycourt player with her results and it is reflected in the odds as such.

After a season full of strong performances, Aryna Sabalenka suffered her first letdown of the year at the Italian Open. She crashed out in the second round, but trails Swiatek as the second favorite to win the French Open with +500 odds. She also has a shot at ascending to the top of the rankings with a deep run there.

Elena Rybakina follows the two with +800 odds. After a slow start to her clay swing, she's now in the final of the Italian Open. Anhelina Kalinina stands in between the Kazakh and her biggest title on the red dirt. A former quarterfinalist at the French Open, she has a good shot at bettering that result based on her form.

Ons Jabeur, Coco Gauff and Paula Badosa are some of the other oddsmakers' picks to win the French Open

Ons Jabeur and Barbora Krejcikova are tied for fourth place with +1400 odds. Both are established claycourters. However, injury concerns shroud the Tunisian's chances of a deep run in Paris.

Krejcikova, on the other hand, is a former French Open champion, but her recent results don't inspire too much confidence of another triumph. Paula Badosa and Coco Gauff have +1600 odds each, though their performances during the clay season have not been similar at all.

Badosa was quite consistent across all of her four tournaments, while Gauff could only manage a 3-3 record in singles. The teenager did shine in doubles, reaching the finals in Madrid and Rome with Jessica Pegula.

The American youngster was the runner-up to Swiatek last year and with a favorable draw, has the potential to do some damage this time around as well. Maria Sakkari and Pegula are next up with +2000 odds each to win the title.

Sakkari has endured some mixed results of late, but is a former semifinalist at the French Open. Pegula was largely consistent over the last few weeks, but did suffer a surprise second-round defeat to Taylor Townsend at the Italian Open. One can count on her to make it to the latter stages of the tournament at the very least.
