Iga Swiatek finds herself just one win away from a third consecutive French Open crown. Standing in her way is the feisty Jasmine Paolini.

The Italian is in the midst of a breakthrough season, one that has seen her lift a maiden WTA 1000 crown in Dubai and reach a career-high ranking. She will break into the top-10 irrespective of the result in the final, but a win will be the perfect way to cap off her dream fortnight.

Paolini posted her biggest win by taking out fourth seed Elena Rybakina in the quarterfinal before brushing aside teen sensation Mirra Andreeva in the semifinal.

Swiatek, meanwhile, has had an easier time against Coco Gauff and Marketa Vondrousova in her last couple of matches. She has, however, been pushed to the limit by Naomi Osaka earlier in the tournament.
