Romanian tennis player Andreea Prisacariu's overblown reaction to the controversy surrounding Barbora Krejcikova snubbing Novak Djokovic in favor of Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal has angered tennis fans. Prisacariu joined the ranks of the Serb's supporters, who have been denouncing Krejcikova for her remarks.

Krejcikova recently drew the ire of Djokovic's supporters after being asked to pick her favorite player among the 'Big 3' during a Q&A session on social media. While the Czech expressed her inability to choose between Federer and Nadal, she chose not to mention the World No. 2's name.

"Rafa and Roger. Don’t make me choose. I love Roger’s grace and Rafa’s fighting spirit," Krejcikova wrote on X.

Amid the backlash for her perceived snub of the 24-time Grand Slam champion, a user expressed their desire to see Andreea Prisacariu "destroy" Krejcikova in a future match.

"@IamPrisacariuA I hope you get to play her one day and destroy her 👍🏽💪🏽👊🏽🙏🏽," the fan posted.

Prisacariu concurred with the fan, pledging to do her best to make that wish a reality, especially after the Czech's omission of Djokovic from her answer.

"Ulalal, Yea Jason, agreed... I do my best for that day to come, amen to that. Especially after her answer," Prisacariu responded.

Andreea Prisacariu's remarks did not sit well with fans, with one of them deeming her a "nasty person" and rejoicing over her crushing 6-0, 6-0 defeat to Iga Swiatek in the 2022 Billie Jean King Cup qualifiers.

However, the Romanian defended her stance, arguing that while everyone is entitled to their preference, she felt Krejcikova had disrespected the Serb by "ignoring" him in her answer.

"Nono, not even about that. Everyone is free to choose whoever, I swear. It's just the fact we gotta respect all goats. My personal opinion. She just ignored Nole from the answer. That's it," she commented.

Prisacariu's staunch defense of Djokovic comes as no surprise, as she has previously hailed the Serb as a "living legend" and an inspiration, declaring that "he will always have her support."
