Coco Gauff kicked off 2024 in style by defending her title in Auckland, but her season hit a lull until a coaching change revitalized her game. After parting ways with Brad Gilbert in September and bringing on Matt Daly as her coach, Gauff won the China Open and the WTA Finals, ending the year ranked World No. 3.
In 2025, Gauff is expected to skip Auckland, an event she has dominated for the past two years, to represent the USA with Taylor Fritz at the United Cup. Meanwhile, the Auckland tournament promises excitement, with stars like Emma Raducanu, Naomi Osaka, and Sloane Stephens slated to compete.
