Fans have shared a mix of humor and intrigue over Emma Raducanu's interest in meeting darts champion Luke Littler. Both athletes share the distinction of winning major championships as teenagers, with Raducanu expressing "amazing respect" for her compatriot's achievements.
Raducanu and Littler, two of Great Britain’s standout young athletes, have drawn comparisons for their early successes. Raducanu made history as the first qualifier to win a Grand Slam, claiming the 2021 US Open at 18. Littler, at just 17, recently became the youngest-ever PDC World Darts Champion, solidifying his promise after a runner-up finish in 2024 and an outstanding season.
While Littler has built on his success with consistent victories, Raducanu has faced challenges with form and injuries, her US Open win remaining her sole professional title.
Reflecting on Littler’s achievements while speaking to the media ahead of her Australian Open campaign opener against Ekaterina Alexandrova, Raducanu expressed "amazing respect" for his ability to deliver under pressure.
"Amazing respect to him, especially for going out and backing it up by winning the title," Raducanu said. "It’s difficult."
Speaking of her interest in meeting Littler, she said:
"Big time... I’d love to meet any top athletes and top individuals who have succeeded in their fields."
Her comments were posted on Instagram by Sky Sports and fans joked about the potential dynamics of their meeting. They even speculated on a possible romantic link.
"Bro has the chance of his life," one fan wrote.
"So then, how’s he pulled her," another fan wrote.
"This would be a great love story. Emma Littler has a ring to it. I’m sure this is all professional though," a third fan wrote.
Referring to Littler's famed love for kebabs, one fan wrote:
"She will love the local kebab shop"
One fan quipped about feeling overshadowed by Littler’s success. They wrote:
"First he makes my parents disappointed in me because I'm not as successful as him and now he stealing my girl. Me and Littler boutta have some beef"
"They will get married," yet another fan wrote.

While discussing darts champion Luke Littler, Emma Raducanu also opened up about her dart-playing abilities.
"I’m really tragic," Raducanu said of her darting ability. "I played with a magnetic dart that you throw. I need to try that [tungsten darts] out."
Fortunately for the 22-year-old Brit, darts are none of her concern in Melbourne as she participates in the first Grand Slam of the year. Eyeing a deep run in the tournament, Raducanu has commenced her campaign by defeating 26th-seed Ekaterina Alexandrova 7-6, 7-6. She will soon take on Amanda Anisimova in the second round.
