Swiatek thrashed Rebecca Sramkova 6-2, 6-0 in the second round and followed this up with further drubbings of Emma Raducanu (6-1, 6-0) and Eva Lys (6-0, 6-1) to book her place in the quarterfinals of the Australian Open. Here, the Pole faced eighth seed Emma Navarro and beat her 6-1, 6-1 to reach her second semifinal at the Melbourne Major.

Iga Swiatek and Madison Keys will lock horns for the sixth time, with the Pole currently leading 4-1 in their head-to-head. Interestingly, they are currently tied at 1-1 when it comes to hard-court fixtures. The winner will face either defending champion Aryna Sabalenka or Paula Badosa in the Australian Open final.
