Jack Draper has cast his mind back to when he was 18. At the time, the Brit did a modeling assignment, which, according to him, was uncomfortable because it required him to go topless.
Draper recalled the assignment in an interview with The Sunday Times:
"I did some stuff I wasn’t actually comfortable with at the time. They’re great photos, don’t get me wrong, but if I was to go back in time I should have been more educated."
While the Brit did not specify the modeling assignment that needed him to go topless, a picture of him by photographer Bartek Szmigulski appears in the article "Will Murray's heir apparent go all the way at Wimbledon?" published in June 2022 by the British magazine Tatler. The talent division of IMG Models in London represented Draper at the time.
Jack Draper enjoyed a breakthrough 2024 season. He achieved a career-high ranking of World No. 15 in singles on the ATP Tour. He is currently the British men's No. 1 and is widely regarded as someone who will go on to follow in the footsteps of the legendary Andy Murray who won three Major titles and was briefly also the top-ranked men's singles tennis player in the world in an era dominated by Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.
Jack Draper graced British Vogue in 2024 following his maiden ATP Tour-level title triumph
The 2024 Boss Open in Stuttgart marked Jack Draper's first-ever title triumph on the ATP Tour. He had suffered two final heartbreaks before, first at the 2023 Sofia Open and then at the 2024 Adelaide International. Shortly after defeating Matteo Berrettini, he was prominently featured in a British Vogue production including an interview with the magazine and a photo shoot that saw the Brit donning an array of looks, appearing remarkably camera-friendly in all of them.
Draper is competing at the 2025 Australian Open. He has reached the second round after surviving a first-round scare against Argentine Mariano Navone. Draper won the five-set thriller 4-6, 6-3, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2. The 23-year-old is set to face home hope Thanasi Kokkinakis next.
