Martina Navratilova hit back at an individual who called her elitist. The 68-year-old's comments came in light of her response to a statement regarding the Republican party.

Navratilova has been very active on social media and often talks about political matters, among other things. The former World No. 1 reacted to an individual stating that the Republicans haven't said anything regarding grocery prices after the elections.

"And Thanksgiving Friday broke all retail records. And here we thought it was all about eggs and gas," Navratilova said.

One X user responded to the 68-year-old by stating:

"Spoken like an elitist Martina."

Navratilova then reacted by talking about the things she does while also taking a dig at Donald Trump.

"I pick up my dogs poop when I take them out, clean up their throw up at home, change my kids diapers , go grocery shopping and I know the prices and I am the elitist and trump is the people person? Got it dude," the 68-year-old said.

One of Martina Navratilova's more recent digs at Donald Trump came in the aftermath of the 78-year-old sharing an article that portrayed him as Moses. The 68-year-old reacted to this by saying:

"Beware of people who have simple solutions to complex issues- as in I ALONE CAN FIX IT Yes, it’s a cult for millions. Not all, but many millions."

The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion previously expressed her disappointment with Trump winning the US Presidential Election by stating that the results showed that the United States was still a "racist patriarchy".

"Well, trump won. Fear and anger won. And a country that was born as a racist patriarchy proved beyond any reasonable doubt it still is a racist patriarchy. Not sure when this ceases to be true," the 68-year-old said.

Navratilova retired from tennis in 2006 after a glittering career that spanned three decades. The Czech-American won a total of 59 Grand Slam titles across singles and doubles. Half of her 18 Major singles titles came at Wimbledon.
