Holger Rune recently joked about not having a private chef after falling out of the top 10 rankings. Rune fell from his career-best rating of World No. 4 to World No. 15.

Rune recently encountered a hilarious line of questioning in an interview. He was asked whether he had a private chef while he and his team were in London during the grass season. The World No. 15 joked that he did not have a private chef as he had suffered a steep fall in rankings.

"Do you have a chef? Does someone cook your meals?" the host asked.
"Unfortunately no," Rune replied.
"What? Come on. You are no 4 in the world," the host replied, shellshocked.

Rune then revealed that he used Uber Eats to order his meals.

"But now I am 15 so that’s why," Rune joked. "No, you guys heard about Uber Eats, right? I think we are going to cook Saturday we had some talk about the barbeques."

Then the host engaged the Dane in a conversation about his cooking skills. Rune revealed that he had cooked only once in his life, three weeks ago.

"I cooked, I think, only one time in my life. That was three weeks ago. So," Rune revealed.

Further, he revealed that he cooked beef with mashed potatoes and peppers and would barbeque beef this Saturday as it was the only thing he and his team could cook.

"Beef with mashed potatoes and lot of peppers."

Holger Rune played only one match in preparation for the upcoming Wimbledon Championships. The Dane lost against Jordan Thompson at the Queen's Club Championships in a tough three-setter match, with the scoreline reading, 6-4, 6-7(4), 3-6.

In the post-match interview, he expressed a desire for additional game-time on grass courts before the upcoming Wimbledon tournament.

"Yeah, it's obviously not ideal right now, but I might, you know, get the chance to play a few more matches hopefully before, and let's see," Holger Rune said to the press.

Even though the World No. 15 suffered a heartbreaking defeat, he said that he was not worried about Wimbledon.

"You know, I'm not worried about Wimbledon, to be honest. I still believe in myself. Yeah, all good," he added.

Holger Rune will take on Kwon Soon-woo in the first round at Wimbledon 2024.
