Paula Badosa's model boyfriend Juan Betancourt has left fans disappointed after he shared a seemingly innocuous picture of himself watching tennis. Eagle-eyed fans, however, spotted a book written by controversial former US President Donald Trump on his coffee table, which was enough for users on social media to spurn him.

Hailing from Cuba, Betancourt is a famous model and actor who has modeled for luxury brands like Tom Ford, Giorgio Armani, and Jean-Paul Gaultier. He has also acted in Spanish movies and soap operas.

On Friday, Betancourt, with a beer in hand, enjoyed Caroline Garcia taking down Jasmine Paolini in the quarterfinals of the WTA Lyon Open and decided to share the picture on his Instagram story.

However, one fan noticed that on his coffee table laid a book by Donald Trump. The book was 'Trump: The Art of the Deal,' written by Donald Trump and journalist Tony Schwartz, which incited varied reactions.

The fan who shared the image to Twitter addressed Paula to caution her from her Trump-supporting boyfriend.

Although fans ruthlessly trolled him for his choice of book as well, it did not surprise many, seeing as Cubans are known to be big supporters of Trump.

Paula Badosa has been in a relationship with Cuban actor and model Juan Betancourt since 2021. Badosa, who is currently ranked No. 21, never explicitly commented on her relationship status for a long time.

It was only when the 25-year-old wished Betancourt on his birthday on 21 September 2021 that she made her relationship official on Instagram with the 32-year-old. Since then, she regularly posts pictures of herself with the model on her page.

The couple also celebrated Christmas together in 2021.

Badosa was accompanied by Betancourt at the Miami Open, a WTA 1000 tournament, in March 2022, where she retired from her quarterfinal match due to an injury. Betancourt is known to attend her matches and also accompanies her during practice sessions.

Badosa considers her boyfriend a part of her tennis team and also works out with him as her fitness partner.

Paula Badosa's most recent post also comes from the Cuban model's birthday, which they celebrated together in September last year.
