"I kiss your mother with this mouth" - Andy Roddick revisits amusing confrontation with 'heckler' during his match in Houston

Andy Roddick recently revisited his hilarious confrontation with a heckler which made the American laugh the 'hardest'. The American admitted that his behavior was 'immature.'

In the recent episode of his podcast, Served with Andy Roddick, the American chronicled the hilarious back-and-forth he had with a heckler, who was incessantly jeering at him during his match against Oliver Marach at the 2006 U.S. Men's Clay Court Championships.

“Okay, so the hardest I've laughed and it's I'm going to preface it all the things you're going to say to me, I understand. It was immature, be the bigger person. I'm playing Houston one year at the Clay Court event there. So this guy, I go out for night sessions. This guy is just killing me the entire time, like just heckling me, and it's like one guy.”

However, when the former World No. 1 started swearing out of frustration, the fan decided to take things up a notch joking,

“I miss a ball in the second set, and I say da** it, and he goes, ‘Oh now we're cursing’, and he just kinda goes in, starts doing the whole thing, and he goes. So, it builds and builds and builds, there's going to be some fireworks here in a second so, go over there and I say another word and he goes 'Oh you kiss your mother with that mouth?'”

However, Andy Roddick, who is well known for his outstanding wit, responded,

“And I say straight to a quarter of the stadium, I said 'No. I kiss your mother with this mouth.'"

Roddick went on to win the match 6-3, 6-4 but was eliminated in the following round.

Though Andy Roddick retired long ago, he still has arguments with some tennis fans online due to differences in views. One of them is a popular Novak Djokovic superfan on X (formerly Twitter) who goes by the name Pavvy G.

Roddick, who supported Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek after their doping controversies came to light, has locked horns with Pavvy G on many occasions. The fan has expressed his dissatisfaction with the 'No Significant Fault or Negligence' verdicts.

However, the American, whose podcast celebrated a new deal with media giant Vox Media, took to X to spread the news. He said he couldn't have achieved this feat without his podcast's biggest supporters, mocking Pavvy G who was on the list.

"In the spirit of our exciting new podcast deal, we just wanted to extend a huge thank you to our biggest supporters. We couldn’t have done it without you."

The hilarious tweet drew a reaction from the Djokovic superfan and Rennae Stubbs.
