Alcaraz, who won his third Grand Slam at the French Open earlier this month, is a keen follower of soccer and has shown his support for Spain on many occasions. The Spaniard was interviewed by BBC Sport in London, where he is getting ready for his title defense at the Wimbledon Championships.

Alcaraz also gave his predictions for the Euro 2024, which is currently underway in Germany. The Spaniard predicted that Spain would go all the way and lift the trophy, while England would reach the final or the semifinal.
"How far will Spain go in the Euros?" the interviewer asked.
"Champions," Alcaraz replied.
"How about England?" the interviewer asked.
"England, I know that they have a really good team, but I think they are going to go far. Semi-final or final? I'm going to go for it, yeah," Alcaraz replied.
Spain and England topped their respective groups and advanced to the knockout stage in the Euro 2024.
Former British soccer star Gary Lineker highlighted Carlos Alcaraz's footballer-like skills on the tennis court
Former Barcelona and Tottenham player Gary Lineker praised Carlos Alcaraz for his footballer-like skills on the tennis court, likening the Spaniard's tennis style to that of soccer icons Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
Lineker, an English Football Hall of Fame inductee, is now a respected sports pundit and tennis enthusiast. Following Alcaraz's quarterfinal win over Holger Rune at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships, Lineker expressed his admiration for the 21-year-old on his X (formerly Twitter) account.
"What a talent, Carlos Alcaraz is. He looks and moves like a footballer, with the power and pace of a Ronaldo, mixed with the deftness of touch and feel of a Messi, but with a racket," he stated.
Carlos Alcaraz went on to win his second Grand Slam title at the 2023 Wimbledon Championships by defeating World No. 2 Novak Djokovic in a thrilling five-setter in the final.
