Jannik Sinner's girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya recently made a playful appearance on the YouTube vlog channel "What the Vlog" hosted by Daria Kasatkina and her girlfriend Natalia Zabiiako. The video captured the fun and friendly banter between the two tennis stars during the 2024 Ningbo Open player's welcome party.
Kasatkina, currently ranked No. 9, has built a significant online following thanks to her off-court persona and her vlog series, often co-hosted by her partner, Russian-Estonian figure skater and Olympic silver medalist Natalia Zabiiako. The couple’s YouTube channel provides an intimate look into their lives beyond tennis, blending humor with behind-the-scenes moments at tournaments.
Kalinskaya’s brief but entertaining role in the vlog occurred during the Ningbo Open welcome party, where she could be seen talking about wanting to go on holiday after her Round of 16 loss to Kasatkina at the Adelaide International earlier this year.
"I'm ready for holidays. I was ready for holidays already when you beat me in January. Autumn Blues. I'm not in a romantic mood," Anna Kalinskaya said during the vlog.
At the 2024 Ningbo Open, fifth-seeded Kasatkina clinched her eighth career WTA title by defeating Katerina Siniakova, Yulia Putintseva, eighth seed Paula Badosa (walkover), and ultimately compatriot Mirra Andreeva 6-0, 4-6, 6-4 in the final.
Meanwhile, seventh-seeded Kalinskaya defeated Priscilla Hon and Yue Yuan before falling 6-2, 2-6, 3-6 to Karolina Muchova in the quarterfinals.
Jannik Sinner's girlfriend Anna Kalinskaya playfully responds to Daria Kasatkina's quirky question about the Italian
Jannik Sinner's girlfriend, Anna Kalinskaya, delivered a comical reply when Daria Kasatkina subtly asked about her feelings for the Italian star. This exchange took place on Kasatkina's YouTube vlog, "What the Vlog," during the 2024 ecotrans Ladies Open in June.
During their conversation, Kasatkina teased Kalinskaya about her relationship by referencing Sinner’s quirky connection to carrots, which left the latter laughing heartily.
"Wait… carrot cake, yes or no?" she asked the 25-year-old in Russian.
"F**k you," she said, laughing hysterically.
Daria Kasatkina is currently competing in the 2024 Toray Pan Pacific Open Tennis in Tokyo, Japan. The third-seeded Russian received a bye into the Round of 16, where she defeated McCartney Kessler 3-6, 6-3, 6-1.
Kasatkina advanced to the quarterfinals for the second year in a row, where she will take on Sofia Kenin. The winner of this match will face either ninth seed Katie Boulter or Bianca Andreescu in the semifinals.
