With Andy Murray and Iga Swiatek's finals at the Qatar Open and Dubai Duty Free Championships being played simultaneously, the scheduling conflict has incited varied reactions from tennis fans.

Murray, who received a wildcard at the Qatar ExxonMobil Open, will face third-seeded Medvedev in the final on Saturday, February 25 at 8:30pm IST while women's World No.1 Swiatek will play unseeded Barbora Krejcikova at the Dubai Duty Free Championships at the same time.

The Tennis Podcast tweeted the schedule of the two matches and questioned the scheduling of the finals, additionally stating that the two finalists would have wanted to watch each other.

"Is this really the case - the women’s and men’s finals in Dubai/Doha on at exactly the same time? Is it not possible to avoid doing that? For starters, Iga and Andy will want to watch each other’s finals." The tweet read.

Many fans were upset by the matches being held at the same time. Some joked that Swiatek, who has been ruthless in her game, will finish her final quickly while Murray, who has been playing a number of long matches lately, will just be warming up.

"Iga wins in 1h, just in time for Andy’s 5-5 re-break. They’ll have time for the final two sets," one fan joked.
"Seriously?. Noooo. I wanted to watch both now I'm gonna have to avoid social media while watching," one fan tweeted.
