Beyond tennis, Ana Ivanovic has a strong connection to football. The former World No. 1 was recently spotted visiting the stadium of her husband Bastian Schweinsteiger's former club, Bayern Munich.

Ivanović and Schweinsteiger married in 2016 in a glamorous ceremony in Venice. The couple now has three children: Luca, born in 2018; Leon, born in 2019; and their third child, whose name has not been disclosed, born in 2023.

On Saturday, Ivanovic attended a match at the Allianz Arena, home of Bayern Munich, where she watched the German outfit defeat Heidenheim 4–2 as they maintained their position at the top of the Bundesliga. After the match, she shared a photo of herself in the VIP area, dressed stylishly in a double-breasted grey blazer and tall black boots.

“Munich” - She captioned the pictures.

During her 13-year career, Ivanovic won 15 WTA singles titles, including the French Open in 2008. She became World No.1 in June 2009 after the French Open and held that position for 12 weeks.

Her husband, Schweinsteiger, played 500 matches for Bayern Munich between 2002 and 2015. During his time with the club, he won 18 trophies, including the UEFA Champions League in 2013 and eight Bundesliga titles.

Schweinsteiger later played for the English club Manchester United before moving to the United States to join Chicago Fire. He retired from professional football in 2019.

In an interview with BILD published on their website in December 2023, Bastian Schweinsteiger revealed that he had secretly rented a private London park featured in the 1999 Hollywood romantic comedy Notting Hill. Knowing his wife Ana Ivanović's curiosity, he left the gate slightly open and invited her inside, where he surprised her with a proposal.

"In London there are small parks that are only accessible to local residents. And then I secretly rented the park from the 'Notting Hill' film. Of course I knew that Ana was extremely curious and when we walked past there, the gate was ajar and I said to her: Come on, let's have a look! And then we went in - and then I asked her. That came as a complete surprise to her.” - Schweinsteiger said

In the same podcast, Schweinsteiger also shared his experience of asking Ana Ivanovic's father for her hand in marriage. The 40-year-old, born in Kolbermoor, Germany, revealed that he had to learn some Serbian before meeting her father in Belgrade.

“I was able to score a few points with the family by asking Ana's father for her hand in marriage in Serbian. I flew to Belgrade and asked,” he said

Ivanović retired from tennis in 2016. Since then, she has continued her work with UNICEF, launched a skincare brand, Ana Ivanović Natural Performance, and focused on her family.
