Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf's son Jaden's girlfriend Catherine Holt and Frances Tiafoe added a dash of celebrity to the college football spectacle on December 7, 2024. The Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina, became the center of attention as the Clemson Tigers faced off against the SMU Mustangs in a thrilling match that saw the Tigers emerge victorious with a 34-31 win.
Tiafoe had been on a whirlwind tour of Charlotte. On December 6, he participated in the Charlotte Invitational exhibition match at the Spectrum Center, battling against tennis heavyweights like Carlos Alcaraz, Sloane Stephens and Madison Keys.
Donning a jersey of Brandon Miller from the Charlotte Hornets, Tiafoe triumphed over Alcaraz 5-7, 6-1, 11-9. Following his exhibition match, Tiafoe attended an NBA game between the Charlotte Hornets and the Cleveland Cavaliers, where he collected signed jerseys from Cleveland stars Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland.

Both Tiafoe and Holt took to social media to share their exciting experiences. On December 7, Tiafoe shared a humorous Instagram story about his packed schedule, writing:
"At this point, I'm doing anything."
Meanwhile, Holt shared glimpses of her time at the game on her Instagram story, where she could be seen posing with a friend in the stands as they cheered on the Mustangs.

Andre Agassi named Frances Tiafoe as one of the top contenders for the 2024 US Open
Andre Agassi expressed his hope for an American player to claim the 2024 US Open title.
In a video shared by Tennis Channel on X in August 2024, the two-time US Open champion was asked to share his prediction for the tournament's winner. Agassi mentioned standout names such as Tommy Paul, Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, Sebastian Korda and Frances Tiafoe, stating:
"Oh, I don't know, I don't really pick, I mean, I kind of root. I'm rooting for an American to break through in their backyard. We have 5 of them in Top 20," Agassi said.
"I mean, Tommy Paul's athleticism, the way Taylor hits the ball as quick as the courts are playing. I mean, Ben Shelton with the way he's serving. Sebby [Sebastian Korda] with the way he's hitting it. Tiafoe could come, you know, I mean coming off last year, he turned the corner last week. I'm kind of hoping to see one of them do something really special," Agassi added.
Paul, Korda, and Shelton were eliminated in the first four rounds last year. Frances Tiafoe reached the US Open semifinal for the second time, eventually losing to Fritz 6-4, 5-7, 6-4, 4-6, 1-6. Fritz then went on to reach his maiden Grand Slam final, where he lost 3-6, 4-6, 5-7 to top seed Jannik Sinner.
