Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, American football player Travis Kelce, were seen attending the 2024 US Open final between Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz. Sinner is vying for his second Grand Slam title, while Fritz is aiming for his first.
Sinner is the top seed at this year's New York Major. He began his campaign by defeating Mackenzie McDonald and Alex Michelsen in the first two rounds. He went on to overcome Christopher O'Connell and 14th seed Tommy Paul in the third and fourth rounds, respectively.
In the quarterfinals, the World No. 1 triumphed over fifth seed Daniil Medvedev and secured his spot in the final by defeating 25th seed Jack Draper in the semifinals.
On the other hand, Taylor Fritz seeded 12th, defeated Camilo Ugo Carabelli, Matteo Berrettini, Francisco Comesana, and eighth seed Casper Ruud in the first four rounds. He then went on to defeat fourth seed Alexander Zverev and 20th seed and compatriot Frances Tiafoe in the quarterfinals and semifinals, respectively to advance to the championship match.
The final match between Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz at the Arthur Ashe Stadium is being attended by celebrities from various fields. Among them were pop sensation Taylor Swift and her boyfriend, three-time Super Bowl champion Travis Kelce.

Speaking to the press ahead of his final match against Jannik Sinner at the 2024 US Open, Taylor Fritz said he has always enjoyed playing against the Italian. He said:
“I have a feeling I'm going to come out and play really well and win. When I play good tennis, I think that level is good enough to win."
Fritz shared that playing in the championship match of the New York Major has been a lifelong dream for him.
“It's just joy, the crowd cheering and kind of that realisation, like ‘Wow, I'm in the finals of the US Open. It's such a lifelong dream come true . Something I've worked my whole life for to be in this situation. I think just kind of like realising that got me a little bit choked up,” he added.
Before their meeting in the final at Flushing Meadows, Jannik Sinner and Taylor Fritz had met only twice on the ATP Tour, each winning a match. Their most recent encounter was in the quarterfinals of the 2023 Indian Wells Masters, where Sinner emerged victorious 6-4, 4-6, 6-4.
