Boris Becker recently traveled to picturesque Paradise Island in the Bahamas for a romantic getaway with his newlywed wife, Lilian. Becker later shared the highlights of the couple's trip.

A former World No. 1 and six-time singles Grand Slam champion, Becker married Lilian de Carvalho Monteiro in a gala three-day wedding celebration in Portofino, Italy, in September this year. On Thursday, December 12, Becker took to his Instagram and shared five pictures and one video of the best moments from the couple's Paradise Island vacay.

Boris Becker and wife Lilian struck a cozy pose together in one of the pictures. Two other pictures featured them individually. Another one showed a beautifully maintained Paradise Island road. One photo and one video were about the former World No. 1 soaking in the atmosphere at one of the Island's many casinos.

The German legend captioned the post:

"Let the sun shine again"

Becker's former pupil Novak Djokovic, reigning WTA World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, and reigning ATP World No. 1 Jannik Sinner's coach Darren Cahill were some of the high-profile names from the tennis world who liked the post.

The marriage to Lilian is Becker's third. He married his first wife, Barbara, in late 1993. The couple had two sons before parting ways in 2001. Eight years later, Becker tied the knot with his second wife Lilly, and had a son with her. However, this relationship didn't last beyond 2018. The six-time singles Major winner began dating his present wife Lilian two years ago.

After marrying Lilian, the former World No. 1 laid bare his happiness at the wedding taking place in Portofino. Becker also spoke up about how his time in prison strengthened his bond with his third wife.

Boris Becker spent eight months in jail in 2022 after being found guilty of four charges under the UK's Insolvency Act. However, despite his lengthy prison sentence, he managed to keep his relationship with Lilian intact. After the couple's marriage, the German was ecstatic with the location of their wedding and also opened up about the impact of his prison sentence on his relationship with Lilian.

"The location where we had the ceremony is, I think, one of the most unique places I have been in my life – and trust me, I have been to a lot of beautiful places!" Becker told Hello Magazine.
"Sometimes you need to be tested to find out who your true friends are, or your partner, and it happened for me. And I realised who was with me and who was not with me. Lilian was number one," he added.

Becker retired from tennis in 1999. To this day, the German remains the youngest-ever player to win the men's singles title at the Wimbledon Championships in 1985.
