Casper Ruud's doubles campaign with Rafael Nadal at the 2024 Nordea Open ended in the semifinal after the 22-time Grand Slam winner withdrew from the ATP 250 event. Ruud's singles campaign was cut short by Thiago Monteiro, who defeated the Norwegian in straight sets.

Nadal's decision came after a four-hour, three-set marathon victory in the quarterfinals and later a three-set win in the semifinals in the singles format. The Spaniard will face Nuno Borges in his first ATP final in two years.

Casper Ruud was accompanied by his sister Charlotte, who was often spotted in the player's box at the event. She has been traveling around the world and shared a carousel post on her Instagram highlighting her time in Spain, France, and Sweden.

The post included a funny picture of their family's pet dog, Rafa, named after the 14-time French Open champion. In the image, the dog can be seen wearing its own Nordea Open badge carrying the name and picture.

An ITF player, Charlotte Ruud also trained with the Rafa Nadal Academy and was signed by the University of South Florida in 2023. The carousel post also included pictures of her friends and peers on the ITF circuit.
